BRIEF PROFILE Professor Angela Nkiru Nwammuo is a multidisciplinary Communication and Media Studies Scholar with many years of academic and industry experience. She has been recognized for advancing knowledge in this field of study through rigorous research, publications and mentorship. She has held key administrative roles in the Nigerian University system such as Head of Department, Coordinator of Pre-degree Programme, Chair of many committees, Coordinator of Center for Gender Studies and, a member of the University Governing Council. She is the Former Public Relations Executive of the African Council for Communication Education (ACCE), an umbrella body for all Communication Scholars in Nigeria. Prof Angela is the immediate past Chairperson of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Anambra State Chapter. Internationally, Prof. Angela’s scholarship extends beyond Nigeria as a Doctoral External Examiner at North West University, Mafikeng, South Africa where She served as a Postdoctoral Fellow from 2017 to 2018. Her research focuses on Gender Studies, Public Relations, Broadcasting, Development Communication, Health Communication, Advertising, Media Studies, Broadcasting, and Indigenous Language Systems. She has successfully supervised many undergraduate and postgraduate students in the above-mentioned research areas and is serving as an External Examiner to Universities in Nigeria and South Africa.
